HDPE has little branching, giving it stronger intermolecular forces and tensile strength than lower-density polyethylene. Due to it's strength, HDPE is used in heat-resistant fireworks display mortars and in the ballistic plates in bullet-proof vests. Each strand of the netting is treated with a complex UV protection enabling the net to endure extreme weather conditions.
